Monterey county health officials have reported that  2-animals recently tested positive for rabies.   A skunk tested positive earlier this month, and this week, a dog from the north monterey county area tested positive for rabies.  Officials are advising the public to be cautious when dealing with wildlife, and report dead animals to animal control immediately.  Cats and dogs are required by law to be vaccinated against the rabies virus.
