Multiple Salinas robberies 03/25/12 2:45p.m. TDH

Salinas police have reported that multiple, separate, armed robberies occurred around the city on Friday night.  In 1-incident, an auto parts store on north sanborn road was held up by 2, armed suspects.  The suspects bound the hands of the employees, took cash from the safe and register, and they then fled. In another robbery, a man armed with a shotgun held up a convenience store on clark street.  nobody was injured in the robbery.  The suspect fled, along with a person that acted as a “lookout.”  And, elsewhere, 2-people were robbed during separate incidents.  In 1 incident, an employee of a business at the Northridge mall was jumped as he walked to his car.  in the other incident, a pedestrian was robbed at east market street near north hebron avenue.  the suspects fled with the victim’s money and other items.
