Nobody was injured when a house fire broke out in carmel valley thursday morning. the early-morning fire erupted at a house on Esquiline road at about 3 a.m. the occupants escaped after the smoke alarms alerted them about the flames. Firefighters from the monterey county regional fire district were able to contain the blaze in about 20 minutes. The cause is under investigation. Damage to the house was estimated at about 150-thousand dollars.
