Parole has been denied for a man convicted of killing another man in 1987 in Watsonville. Now 71-years-old, juan torres was convicted of 1st degree murder in 1990 for killing thomas tacardon outside a bar on freedom boulevard. Torres, a former Hollister police officer and san benito county reserve sheriffs deputy, will not be eligible for parole again until 2017.
