a new tenant will be moving into the retail space vacated by borders in downtown santa cruz. a deal was finalized between property managers of the 20-thousand square foot space and fashion retailer forever 21. the company operates 500 stores across the country, with locations in monterey, salinas, santa clara, and san jose. forever 21 officals expect the store to open at the 1200 pacific avenue location in august.
