a hollister man was arrested on suspicion of stealing beer last week, and police allege he was involved with other beer thefts this month. 18 year old ruben mendoza was contacted by hollister police officers after reports that several suspects ENTERED the save mart store on mccray street and stole multiple cases of beer. after mendoza was arrested, police alleged that he was the same suspect in surveillance footage from 2 beer thefts from other hollister stores earlier in the month. he was booked into san benito county jail on several charged.
