a gilroy woman was injured and her pet chihuahua was killed in a pit bull attack last week. 50 year old sara dunaway was walking down 7th street with her dog and a small child she was babysitting when she saw two unleashed pit bulls chasing a small dog down the street. the dogs then attacked dunaway and her dog. passersby intervened before gilroy police arrived. the two pit bulls were euthanized, their owner says she has no idea how the dogs got out of her property. dunaway is recovering from her injuries.
