the c.e.o. of the california high-speed rail authority has announced plans to resign. roelf van ark will officially step down over the next 60 days and serve as an adviser to the project through the end of the year. authority board chair tom umberg also announced his resignation, and has nominated board member dan richard as his replacement. the board is expected to vote on a new chair next month.
