a stabbing in a watsonville park last night is thought to have been gang motivated. a man was walking in ramsay park around 6:30 p.m. when we was approached by 5 to 10 suspects. the group shouted gang slogans at the victim before attacking him, stabbing the man several times in the back. the victim was flown to a bay area trauma center to be treated for his injuries. watsonville police say he is expected to survive. anyone who might have witnessed this attack, or have any information on the possible identities of the assailants, is asked to contact the watsonville police department.
