6-catalytic converters have been reported stolen this week in santa cruz. The thefts mark the latest in a series of incidents, which have taken place over the last 7-months around santa cruz. Most of the thefts this week occurred on the west side; only 1-was reported on the east side. Catalytic converters help reduce vehicle emissions, and are often targeted for scrap metal. Many of the targeted vehicles have been Toyota s.u.v.’s and trucks. No suspects have been arrested in connection with the crime spree.
