Plans to salvage ship 01/10/12 TDH

Preparations are underway to salvage a ship that sunk in the monterey bay last week.  Divers have examined the wreckage, and are planning to haul the ship out, as soon as the owner and his insurance company give the go-ahead.  The 58-foot-long moss landing-based ship, named the “Stikine,” sank last Friday morning about a mile-and-a-half off of pleasure point.  The crew of 4-fishermen was safely rescued by another fishing boat.
