about a dozen p.g&e. smart meter opponents marched to the santa cruz county building yesterday to return wireless meters they had once again removed from their homes. the demonstrators marched to senator joe simitian’s office and assemblyman bill monning’s office to thank the officials for their efforts in influencing p.g.&e. to restore power to those who had removed their smart meters and replaced them with analog meters. now the utility is charging 15 dollars a month for customers to keep their analog meter, a fee that protestors want repealed.
