a live oak man accused of a hit and run that left a bicyclist dead is set to stand trial on the charges. 21 year old elliot sterling dess is accused of hitting 25 year old zachary parke while parke was riding his bike along empire grade road near u.c. santa cruz in june. dess faces charges of felony hit and run and misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter. he is due in court for an ARRAIGNMENT on january 4th.
