California American water and the monterey fire department are continuing to test fire-hydrant flow around the monterey peninsula. Testing is being done in monterey and pacific grove throughout December. In sand city, tests are set to be conducted on the 14th. Some discoloration and turbidity might be noticed in tap water during the tests, however it is not dangerous. The tests are being done to ensure that there is proper water pressure in hydrants for fire fighting operations.
