cesar chavez m.s. after school pgrm 12/05/11 0700 e.a.

a watsonville middle school was visited by a nationwide anti-crime organization friday, to recognize the school for its efforts to keep kids in school and out of gangs.  club chavez, an after school program at cesar chavez middle school, serves more than 200 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.  san francisco based “fight crime: invest in kids” is an organization consisting of police chiefs, sheriffs and district attorneys.  the group toured the after school program, along with assemblyman bill monning, watsonville police chief manny solano and santa cruz district attorney bob lee.
