A state appellate court has rejected a petition to reconsider a decision that awarded back-taxes to scotts valley. Santa cruz county officials were asking the court to re-examine about 240-thousand dollars that were included in a 2-million dollar ruling for scotts valley. the county also wanted the court to again review whether redevelopment funds could be factored into the property tax withholding. with the court declining to reconsider, the county is moving forward with plans to petition the state supreme court.
