a number of volunteers turned out over the weekend to help plant native species and restore wetlands at hansen slough. the year round restoration efforts include the removal of invasive species, collecting seeds of native species and growing them in a small garden at the pajaro valley high school campus, and then returning the young native plants to the slough. the volunteer efforts are held by watsonville wetlands watch on the 4th saturday of every month.
