Vehicle thefts in Watsonville have increased this year, and authorities are reminding residents to lock-up, and park in your garage if you have the option. Watsonville Police report 227-vehicles have been stolen in the city this year, compared to 137 through the same period last year. Earlier this month, an S.U.V. with a baby inside was stolen. It was abandoned nearby, and the child was unharmed. Police say Honda Accords seem to often be the targets of thieves, and owners should be extra aware.
