3 historic buildings in monterey county are set to receive some grant money, from the California missions foundation. The grants to be divided among 15-statewide sites are worth just more than 129-thousand dollars, and will be shared by the mission san Antonio de padua (near jolon), soledad mission, and san carlos cathedral (in monterey). the money is expected to be used for restoration work and archeological research.
