A 33-year-old seaside man will not receive a new trial, for a 1996 murder. charles Wesley george was seeking a re-trial, because prosecutors did not disclose the terms under which a witness would testify. The 3-judge panel of the 6th district court of appeals ruled that there was enough other evidence to uphold george’s conviction, for the slaying of 20-year-old Victor Manuel Gutierrez, during a botched drug robbery. george is serving a term of 25-years-to-life.
