A fallen soldier from salinas was honored with a resolution passed tuesday, by the Monterey county board of supervisors. Supervisors passed the resolution, honoring Ricardo cerros, junior, who was killed on Saturday in Afghanistan. The resolution recognizes Cerros “for his heroism, selflessness, strength, and pride to be an american soldier as he fought to protect his fellow soldiers and country.” Cerros, a 2005 graduate of salinas’ Everett alvarez high school, was 24 years old.
