PG and E has begun a project in Big Sur, that aims to help protect endangered California condors. Crews are burying almost 3-miles of power lines, on the south side of Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. The work is expected to cost 4.2-million dollars, and will involve the removal of 46-wooden power poles and overhead lines. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.
