Officials with the lompico water district in felton have proposed a rate-increase for customers. If enough customers object to the rise, the increase will not take effect. Customers must mail objections to district officials, or deliver them to a public hearing on the matter. That’s scheduled to be held at the zyante fire station, on east zyante road, on September 29th. Objection letters must be received by the end of that meeting. District officials proposed the increase, after the district lost a 100-thousand dollar settlement with a former general manager.
