a new superintendent has taken office at soquel union elementary school district. henry castaniada has replaced kathleen howard who retired retired as superintendent recently. castaniada worked as a “k” through “8” principal in santa clara county as well as leading the loma prieta school district for 7 years. his contract will expire in 2014.
