A marina gas station is set to be demolished, to make way for a new one. The marina city council has unanimously voted to replace the vacant station at del monte boulevard and reindollar avenue. The station was known for its owner, who hung signs protesting the high price of gas, (promoting a legal battle with shell). The former owner, mehdi shabbazi, died in 2007. the new gas station is set to be owned by peninsula petroleum incorporated.
