Cal-trans has announced that a 2-and-half-mile-long section of highway-1 in santa cruz will undergo overnight roadwork, for the rest of summer. Pavement work will be done from the san Lorenzo river bridge, to just north of western street. the work is scheduled to be done from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. There will be lane closures in both directions during the work, (which is scheduled to be completed by the end of august).
