Water Quality Advisory signs have been posted at Cowell Beach (west of the Santa Cruz Municipal Wharf). The warning signs indicate that the bacteria level is too high for safe human contact at this time. Those signs are scheduled to remain posted until the level of bacteria (in the ocean water) returns to that which is safe for human contact.
