As part of the release of 23-million dollars for state-wide mental health programs, the Monterey county health department’s behavioral health bureau is set to expand its services on the central coast.  The increased suicide prevention programs are expected to help Monterey and santa cruz county residents get access to programs and councilors that can help them.   The funding is being distributed by the California mental health services authority, through the family services agency of the central coast.
