a tech activist from monterey has receieved the leadership monterey peninsula’s 2011 founder’s award. megan heath, coordinator of the broadband technology opportunities program at the monterey county office of education’s media center, was recognized for her contributions to the community. heath volunteers at a number of local organizations and has served on various non-profit boards.
