Dole has announced a voluntary recall for certain lettuce blends, (some of which was grown in Salinas), after a test revealed possible contamination. The positive test for listeria came after the lettuce was shipped from California to a processing plant in ohio. 3-thousand cases of dole Italian blend salad, and another 4-hundred cases of Kroger fresh selections Italian style blend salads. The romaine lettuce in those mixes was grown in Salinas. The recalled-salads were not sold in California.
