the monterey county board of supervisors has signaled its approval for a new transit agency and business park to be built near the former fort ord. the board voted 4 to 1 to tentatively approve the development project until their meeting july 12th, when objections to the plan will be presented. marina city officials have asked the board to consider the city’s airport as a more appropriate hub for the transit agency’s headquarters.
