A meeting has been postponed to hear public comments on the proposed regional desalination project, that has been moving forward on the Monterey peninsula. The meeting was scheduled to be held Wednesday evening, hosted by the group “community involvement forum.” It will be rescheduled, but members of the project’s advisory committee do not know when for. Committee members felt that the meeting would be more productive, if they (and the public) knew the results of an investigation, into whether a former Monterey county water official had a conflict of interest. That investigation has not yet concluded.
