Strawberry sales from Monterey county declined slightly last year. That’s according to the annual report by the county’s agriculture commissioner released tuesday. Strawberry shipments totaled 751-million dollars in 2010, a decline of less-than a percentage point from the previous year. Strawberries were still the top crop in Monterey county, ahead of leaf lettuce and head lettuce. Total crop production was down point-7 percent, valued at 4-point-zero-3 billion dollars.
