a deal has been reached between scotts valley unified school district leaders and representatives of the scotts valley education association union. the deal includes two furlough days, and an increase in medical insurance co-payments. the deal is expected to save the district more than 200-thousand dollars a year. district trustees plan to adopt a final budget for the 2011-2012 school year at their meeting on june 21st.
