The owner of a watsonville gas station and convenience store was denied in his effort to obtain an alcohol license FOR the business. After Watsonville police chief many Solano refused to endorse the request, the city’s planning commission voted 6 to 1 on Monday to reject the request. The site at main street and riverside drive is considered to be in a “high-crime area,” in which there are already 9-other outlets that sell alcohol. The owner of American fuels, ron ince, can appeal the decision.
