A Watsonville man who was convicted in december of attempted murder and other violent crimes, was sentenced to life in prison on thursday. John Anthony Zamora will not be eligible for parole for 38 years, after being found guilty of 2-separate incidents, both of which involved violence against ex-girlfriends. The first incident, which involved kidnapping charges, occurred in 2007; the second incident, in march of 2008, brought on the attempted murder charge, which carried gun-enhancements.
