SPCA officers in monterey county seized more than 70-animals today, from a property in castroville. A puppy and 3-dogs were rescued, along with dozens of rabbits, doves, and chickens. The animals were noticed in small cages by officers, when they were responding to a call at a nearby location. Authorities are exploring filing charges against the owner.
