Congressional Art Winners 05/18/11 9:30a.m. TDH

Congressman sam farr has announced the winner of this year’s Congressional Art Competition.  Mira Malcolm’s work “Nature’s Peace” took first place, and will be displayed in the halls of congress, along with other winners’ art.  Malcolm also won a trip to Washington d.c., to be honored in a ceremony.  The Carmel high student also has won a 15-hundred dollar scholarship to art school.  Second place winner Diana fonseca will have her work displayed in farr’s Washington office.   Third place was given to Everett high student Alicia rojas.   Her wodk will be hung in farr’s office in Salinas.
