Firefighters from several departments around the Monterey peninsula responded to a fire in the city of Monterey this morning. The flames were able to be quickly contained by firefighters from Monterey, seaside, cypress, and Monterey airport fire departments. The incident at the 1-story building at 40 dormandy court was reported just before 8 a.m. nobody was hurt in the fire; investigators are working to determine what sparked the flames.
