A carmel valley man who was convicted last month of assaulting his mother, was sentenced on Friday to 15 years and 8months in prison. 50-year-old Galen Fisher was found guilty in April of elder abuse, false imprisonment, making criminal threats, and gun charges…in connection with an incident on may 19th, 2009. Fisher was arrested the day after the assault. He is scheduled to be eligible for parole after 10 years and 9 months.
