A teenager was hospitalized yesterday, after being shot in the foot, at La Paz Park in Salinas. Salinas police officers are investigating the 7:14 p.m.incident, as it appeared to them that the shooting happened at close range, severing one of the victim’s toes. The 14-year-old victim told officers that he was shot from a car on Roosevelt Street, about 75-yards away. Anyone who witnessed the shooting is encouraged to contact the Salinas Police Department, or call the anonymous crime tip line at 1-800-78-CRIME.
