Watsonville Police officers arrested a man yesterday(mon), for allegedly leaving the scene of an accident, after hitting a car with a child inside. The 18-month old child was air-lifted to a bay-area hospital with injuries considered life-threatening. 68-year-old Raymond Wendell Larke was arrested after a witness followed him from the scene of the accident, which occurred at 6:30p.m., at Holm Road and Herman avenue, (near Rolling Hills Middle School). Larke was taken into custody on the 200 block of Lee Road, and is facing possible charges of hit and run with injuries, as well as Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
