Surgeon Arrested 05/10/11 4:45p.m. TDH

A Salinas surgeon was arrested at his home yesterday, after allegedly brandishing a gun during a domestic disturbance.   59-year-old Christopher Carver, who is a neurosurgeon at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital and Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula, was arrested after he was accused of taking out a 9mm handgun and pointing it at his son, during an argument with his wife.  Carver allegedly tried to then hide the weapon and left the scene.  He was arrested shortly after.   Monterey County Sheriff’s Deputies seized several firearms from the home, as well as a samurai sword.
