The city of Watsonville will accept applications through tomorrow for a vacant District 3 seat on the City Council. Former Mayor Lowell Hurst and former Planning Commissioner Dobie Jenkins have reportedly applied for the position. The council is looking to make an appointment to the post by May 3rd. The term is slated to end in November of 2012.
