The Seaside Police Department has launched their new text message tip line. The service enables officers to receive an anonymous tip, sent by citizens, via a text message. Informants remain anonymous through an encrypted text message that’s routed through several secure servers. The officer will then be able to return the message without ever knowing who initially sent it.
