A San Jose woman scuba diving in Monterey Sunday, was pronounced dead today after she was found 70-feet below the ocean’s surface. The diver, who has been identified as 43-year old Christine Gomez-Weese, was diving near Lovers Point when fellows divers rescued her. She was taken to Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula by emergency responders. An autopsy was slated for today to determine the woman’s cause of death.
