A 3-year old cat is recovering after being struck with a cross-bow arrow over the weekend. The cat’s owner says Max was missing for two days when he came home Sunday night with a 12-inch long arrow lodged inside of his skull. Max was treated at a local pet hospital Sunday night where the arrow, which went through his skin only and not his skull, was safely removed. He returned the next day to his Live Oak area home with no permanent damage.The incident is being investigated to determine if the act was intentional or accidental.Anyone with any information is asked to call Santa Cruz County Animal Services.
