A SaveMart Store on North Davis Road in Salinas was evacuated last night after a small electrical fire started in one of the grocery market’s freezers. One of the store’s employees’s put out the fire before fire crews arrived. The smoke from the fire forced about a dozen people out of the store just after 9 p.m. No injuries were reported and the cause of what sparked the fire is still being investigated. The Store is expected to reopen by this morning.
