Trustees with Soquel Union Elementary School are planning on moving forward with laying off 4 part-time teaching aides and assistants. Those positions include one teaching assistant position at Main Street Elementary School and 3 other possible positions at Soquel Elementary, which include the jobs of a Bilingual Instructional aide, a Computer Education aide, and a Special Ed aide. State education codes requires the district to announce the possible layoffs in specially funded programs by the end of the month.
