An operation involving underage decoys attempting to buy alcohol this week, resulted in 3-citations. Santa cruz county sheriff’s deputies sent the minors to 12-locations in aptos and la selva beach. 3-store clerks were cited, and they face fines or community service, as well as the possibility of suspended alcohol permits. A customer in one of the stores was arrested during the sting operation, after attempting to buy alcohol for one of the decoys. The 34-year old man also faces charges of being under the influence of meth, DUI, and possession of stolen property.
